The charges relate to alleged conduct during the March and April 2026 presidential election campaign. According to the FBI's investigation, the accused is alleged to have participated in a coordinated scheme to unlawfully influence the electoral process, including the recruitment of external voters and the offering of political appointments in exchange for political support.
